A:We guarantee that we will see your child for a same day sick appointment when they are ill. This appointment may be made online or by calling our office.
Q:What should I do in case of a major medical emergency?
A: If your child has a major medical emergency, please call 911 or take him/her to the nearest emergency room. We are affiliated with Mount Sinai. Their emergency room is located on Madison Avenue at 100th Street.
Q: Do you take walk in appointments?
A:We discourage walk-in appointments. Again, if your child has a medical emergency, please take him or her to the nearest emergency room. If your child is sick and needs to be seen in the office please call to make a “sick” appointment. Remember sick appointments can also be scheduled online (click here). Walk-ins will be given the next available time slot. Please avoid long waiting times by scheduling a sick appointment.
Q:What if I have a question and the office is closed? A:Even if the office is physically closed, there is always a physician or a nurse practitioner on call. Please call us during office hours for non-emergency questions. If you have an urgent situation that cannot wait until normal business hours, you may reach us by dialing 212-535-3131 and asking the service to page the provider on call. Please see our section on phone calls for more information (click here)
Q:Will I be assigned to one provider in the office? A: You may request to see a specific provider for your child’s well appointments. For sick appointments you will be assigned to the provider of your choice who has availability on that particular day. We encourage you to meet all of our providers so that you will be familiar with everyone.
